WHAT IS STEVIA?

Stevia (Stevia rebaudiana) is a small perennial herb indigenous to South America and southwestern regions of North America. Used by the natives of Paraguay as a natural flavour enhancer for foods and beverages, Stevia slowly gained attention in the late 1800’s due to its remarkably powerful and refreshing sweetness.

 

HOW IS OUR STEVIA PROCESSED?

A natural, non-chemical extraction method is used to remove the green colour and bitter aftertaste of stevia leaves. This method leaves behind the complete sweetening components and naturally associated nutrients found in the stevia leaf. This makes our Stevia different from other pure Stevia Extracts otherwise known as Reb A (Rebaudioside A), and more closely resembles the original Stevia leaf found in nature.

 

CAN STEVIA BE USED BY DIABETICS?

Diabetes is a medical condition that should be monitored and treated by a qualified physician or health care practitioner, but stevia can be part of a healthy diet for anyone with blood sugar imbalances, since it does not raise blood sugar levels.
